Description

Done in Copics! I tried to go for a more warm color palette in order to balance with the orange multiliner I used to ink the line art.

Now, My artwork is going to get really in to a developmental stage. These pieces are going to all be pretty important to my artistic growth. I used advice from this tutorial: [link]
Go and check it out if you haven't seen it before; it has some great tips about finding your style and such.
There is an issue though; I'm having a tough time of it. See, I like both heavily outlined, cartoony/manga style artwork and highly detailed, realistic pieces. I guess it's all about finding a happy medium. Expect more style developement artwork as the days go by, I need to nail down the art style for my storybook.

I think the season this fairy really represents is late summer or early fall... I wish I could change the seasons at will.

Very pretty. I'm excited to see which direction you go with your art. I think that there's no reason why you can't keep the detailed style AND the cartoon style, they are both part of your art.
I've been trying to develop my own style as well, and I think that I'm starting to narrow it down. It just involves using a lot of different medias in a lot of different ways so far.
As for the art itself, this is really adorable. I really like her body and all of the coloring - as well as the orange outlines instead of black. Her pose is kind of awkward, I would have put her arms out or up more. The last little criticism I have is that I think that her nose and mouth are a little too far down on her face. Or maybe her eyes are too high? One or the other. But the shapes on her face (her facial features) are great, just placement is odd.
